My Top 50 Favourite Playstation 1 Games: #15

If you missed #16 click here.

#15 - Gran Turismo
Released: 1997
Genre: Racing
Rating: ****1/4 stars
Best Moment: I love the intro video. The graphics still look great now, 20 years later, and I just loved watching it then and even now.
Ah, what a game Gran Turismo was. To be honest, I've not played many of the GT games in the series but overall I do still think they're probably the best racing games around, when it comes to the serious racing games anyway. And of course, as the series has gone on the graphics have just been stunning - every time a Gran Turismo game comes out they just look more and more realistic and it's just insane. Sure, looking back now on the first Gran Turismo game the graphics do look relatively poor, but I do remember back in the day I was blown away by how incredible the graphics looked at the time. And I have that same feeling every time.

As a racing game Gran Turismo 1 is still phenomenal, and I still play it once in a blue moon now. I love the soundtrack, it's one of my favourite soundtracks because there's some fantastic songs by Feeder on this game. I love playing Simulation Mode and trying to win the Championships. The driving licenses are super tough though! But yes, overall, Gran Turismo is just simply an incredible game and I love it.

My Top 100 Favourite Music Videos: #82

#82: "Just a Day" - Feeder
Release Date: 2001
Director: David Mould
Fun Fact: The fans in this video all won a competition in which they had to mime to the lyrics for a chance to be in a Feeder music video!
This video actually has a mixed response with hardcore Feeder fans, with the main complaint that the fans singing along retracts from the enjoyment of the song and video.

I contest that big time. Why? There's not many bands that would let their fans take over a music video like this. All these fans of Feeder are having a fantastic time and they completely and utterly make the video. It remains Feeder's best video and until the re-release of "Buck Rogers" to promote their Greatest Hits, it was the band's biggest hit. A lot of this has to do with the music video being damn good and so much fun to watch. These fans make it look so cool to be a Feeder fan and that's pure music entertainment at its core.

Here's the video for your enjoyment!
