Now if you have been following this blog and this listing, this is the third and final PSY song in my list. I said there's a cap at three songs so this naturally means it's the highest entry. It was actually hard to choose three PSY songs because the man has released lots of good singles. That's right - lots. He's not a one hit wonder, or at least he shouldn't be. Seriously give his stuff a listen. He's a rapper, a pop artist who mixes electronic and RnB into his music as well. He's very talented and puts most Western artists to shame.

"Right Now" being my "favourite" is not an easy decision to make. But it's highest on the list because it's so damn catchy, but not in a cheesy way like "Gangnam Style" is. The video is pretty funny in parts too. I just genuinely love PSY, have no shame in doing so and encourage as many people with an open mind as possible to give him a chance, because he's so talented.

#50. “Fat Around the Heart" – King 810

Album: Memoirs of a Murderer

King 810 are a band that I discovered last year when I found out they were supporting Slipknot, who I was about to see live. In my opinion, they're the best new(ish) metal band around, as discussed on this site before, I believe metal as a genre is a dying art form but King 810 are really keeping it alive. King 810, I've promoted a few times before on this site but also on my radio shows, are a band from Flint, Michigan, which is known as the "murder capital" of the US. King 810 sing songs about life there, the struggle, the death and violence, and despite all that, their pride for their home. "Fat Around the Heart" is a song about these struggles, about life in Flint. The first verse says it all - "I grew up in the church on Sunday/Back again bury friends on Monday/They don't just die they are killed from the gun play or the heroin or a prison stay/It's a shame that we gotta live this way/Your nightmares ain't got nothin' on this place/So stay down stay away stay safe/Cuz you aren't built that way". "Fat Around the Heart" is a great song, lyrically and also as a metal track. If you like Slipknot, have not heard King 810 and want to get into some new music, definitely give this band a listen.

My Top 100 Favourite Songs 2010-14 Edition: #53

#53. “Gangnam Style" – PSY

Album: Psy 6 (Six Rules), Part 1

As you can tell by the fact that I've placed PSY at #72 in my list with "Gentleman", I have no shame putting "Gangnam Style" in this list. Further proof of my love of PSY is the fact that this music video hit #70 in my Top 100 Favourite Music Videos of All Time.

And I know it's a minor spoiler but - this is the second of three PSY songs to feature in this Top 100. "Gangnam Style" was fantastic. Sure, PSY, K-Pop and "Gangnam Style" are all a little bit "out there" for Westerners and some people hate it, or find it to strange or cheesy, but I really, REALLY don't care. If you actually understand "Gangnam Style", about it being about a district in South Korea where people thing they're the bees knees, act in a certain way, dress in a certain way and that PSY is taking the piss out of this culture, then we can all relate. And it's not done in a spiteful way either, more of a parody. I just love "Gangnam Style" and I even consider it to be a party favourite of mine.

My Top 100 Favourite Songs 2010-14 Edition: #72

#72. “Gentleman" – PSY

From Rob Zombie to PSY... what? My music taste is diverse! I love "Gentleman", it's a great K-pop track. The dance for Gentleman is good too, and the video is pretty funny at times. But above all is that this is PSY at his finest. Honestly the guy is such a talent, far more talented than the inevitably "1 Hit Wonder" catergory he will be placed in long term. At least this song got to #10 in the UK charts, so he's got to UK Top 10 hits to his name. I don't like this as much as "Gangnam Style" but you know what, it's a fine effort and it's still better than most of pop tracks in the charts at the moment.

I suppose there is a selection of you questioning this entry in my list. But that's exactly the point - it's my list of favourite music videos!

Yesterday I gave you arguably the first proper viral music video. Today, I give you, undisputedly, the BIGGEST.

And yes, I love this music video. I love PSY, he's a fantastic Korean hip-hop artist that has done a lot of good quality tracks. If you like "Gangnam Style" and have a open mind, you might find you like more of his stuff. He's awesome.

As for this entry, it's just a hilarious video. Of course, we Westerners are ignorant to a lot of Korean culture and some of the things that we find funny maybe shouldn't be, but I'm sur there are a lot of things in this video that we don't understand, that are hilarious to Koreans. The popularity of this song wasn't intentional and it almost feels like having a heck of a good time to a party you weren't invited to, full of strangers you don't know. But it's still so so funny, and the song and dance are both a part of culture and simply, I'm proud to be a PSY fan.

Such a great song. It's definitely been my favourite song to come out of 2013. It wasn't a single but I loved listening to this track since the first time it hit my ears. It's just awesome. I highly recommend you listen to it if you like groove metal, or Rob Zombie in general.

Didn't think there was much point putting individual years until 2000.

Considering there were only 4 years in the 2010s so far, that's a lot of recent entries.

More songs were played from 2012 than 2013, which, when you think about it, makes some sense. Songs that were released in 2012 had at least a whole year of opportunity to get played, where as, say, Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo, only had from August to December to get played.
